GHENT, 28 October 2026 – PIA Group, the fastest-growing international accountancy, audit and advisory group in the Benelux and Germany, is strengthening its advisory offering with Argafin joining the group. The financial specialist, with offices in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve and Charleroi, supports SMEs with budgeting, reporting, profitability analysis and financial management, among other services. Together, PIA Group and Argafin aim to make this expertise more widely available and become a leading player in CFO-as-a-Service in Belgium. “Entrepreneurs today need financial support that grows with their business,” says Steven Brouckaert, Executive Chairman of PIA Group. “Our advisers play a central role in this every day. With Argafin, we are adding specialised CFO expertise for companies that need more intensive financial support, whether temporarily or on an ongoing basis. Together, we can offer these services on a larger scale.”
Argafin currently employs 40 people and operates from Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve and Charleroi. The organisation primarily serves SMEs with 10 to 100 employees that need more intensive financial support as they grow, change or further professionalise. Depending on the company’s needs, an Argafin CFO professional can work alongside the business one or more days a week.
Argafin deliberately goes beyond simply providing a temporary finance professional. The CFO is supported by a broader team and can take active responsibility within the finance function, participate in management meetings and support entrepreneurs in making important decisions.
“We help entrepreneurs turn financial information into better decisions,” says Arnaud Navez, founder of Argafin. “Where is the profitability? What developments are we seeing? What resources are needed to grow further? That is what CFO-as-a-Service means to us.”
With Argafin, PIA Group is further strengthening its advisory offering for companies that need in-depth financial insight and management support. ArgAccount is also part of the affiliation, bringing the organisation’s accountancy and tax expertise into PIA Group as well. At the same time, the partnership gives Argafin the scale to develop its model further and reach a broader group of entrepreneurs, including beyond its current strong presence in Brussels and French-speaking Belgium.
Technology, artificial intelligence and a consolidating market increasingly require knowledge, investment and scale. “We deliberately looked for a partner that was the right fit for Argafin,” says Arnaud Navez. “In PIA Group, we found not only the technological and financial strength we were looking for, but also a Belgian group with an entrepreneurial culture that is close to our own. We immediately saw many opportunities to develop our expertise further together.”
The partnership also creates new opportunities for Argafin’s employees. Within PIA Group, they gain access to additional training, knowledge sharing and development opportunities, while retaining their own team culture. This reflects the way Argafin works today, with integrated teams in which junior, senior and CFO professionals work together on assignments and can progress internally.
“We absolutely want to preserve that culture,” says Arnaud Navez. “At the same time, PIA Group allows us to offer our people more opportunities to continue developing. That was an important part of our decision.”
Entrepreneurs today face economic uncertainty, technological change and increasingly complex regulation. As a result, the need for broader support and specialised expertise is also growing. PIA Group is seeing this development not only in Belgium, but also in the other European markets in which the group operates. That is why PIA Group is continuing to expand its advisory offering, with expertise to support entrepreneurs on financial, tax, legal, technological and strategic matters.
“Our ambition is to stand alongside entrepreneurs when important decisions need to be made,” says Steven Brouckaert, Executive Chairman of PIA Group. “Our accountants know their clients and their businesses inside out. By combining that strong local relationship with specialised expertise, we can support them across a broader range of needs. Advisory is therefore becoming an increasingly important part of our services, not only in Belgium but across the group. Argafin joining PIA Group fits perfectly with this development and strengthens our ambition to expand our advisory offering internationally as well.”
In a market based on economies of scale, PIA Group aims to become a leading international provider of accountancy, audit and advisory services whilst retaining the personal connection between staff and clients. We therefore drive our growth forward with a continuously expanding group of enterprising partners. The interaction between those partners and our expert teams enables each PIA office to offer entrepreneurs tailored, up-to-date services and expertise that genuinely contribute to their professional success and personal happiness. PIA Group was founded in Belgium in 1999 by Steven Brouckaert. The group operates in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany, with more than 160 offices and 3,900 staff across these four countries. In 2025, PIA Group’s Benelux operations generated turnover of €440 million.
