Now that you understand what whitelisting is and why it’s important, let’s look at how to implement it for popular email services like Gmail and Outlook.
Open Gmail and log in.
Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select See all settings.
Go to the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
Click Create a new filter.
Enter the email address you want to whitelist in the From field.
Click Create filter.
Select Never send it to spam and click Create filter.
Open the app and find an email from the sender you want to whitelist.
Tap the sender’s email address.
Tap Add to contacts.
Tap Do not block.
Open Outlook and log in.
Go to the Home tab.
Click Junk and select Junk Email Options.
Go to the Safe Senders tab.
Add the email address you want to whitelist and click Add.
Click OK.
Open the app and find an email from the sender you want to whitelist.
Tap the sender’s email address.
Tap Add to safe senders.
